Ready for the next seed treatment trials in corn of IDEN’s biostimulants at our experimental fields
Along these days, the next seed treatment trials in corn are about to start at IDEN’s experimental fields. These field trials will consist on applying different biostimulant products developed by IDEN, whose composition is based on extracts obtained from microorganisms.
Iden Biotechnology has a portfolio of products in development, in the stage of industrial scaling and formulation that includes the following groups of products
IBB´s: biological biostimulants formed by the extracts obtained from the fermentation of microorganisms never used for this purpose.
IBC´s: biostimulants produced by mixing the active compounds identified during the characterization of the biological extracts.
On this occasion, IBB1 and IBB4 products, which are based on extracts obtained from the fermentation of microorganisms, will be tested as corn seed treatment at different times and they will be applied in different concentrations. Parameters such as % of germinated seeds, germination synchronization in early stages, increase yield, % increase in weight of grain and weight per full cobs will be some of the indicators of the effectiveness of the treatments.
In 2017, experimental trials of seed treatment were carried out on corn. Then, an increase in crop production of 4% was observed when applying IBB1. Similarly, average weights per full cob were 15% above comparing to control.
